Report on Greens
The Greens have been treated with organic fertiliser and top dressed with sand, peatmoss and seaweed. Ger O'Connor from PPUI visited on the 12th May and recommend we overseed and top-dress again. He has given us a loan of a Pedestman Dimple seeder to carry out the work which was completed last week and the results of the first 2 seeding are beginning to show, hopefully the next seeding will be more successful.
Due to the un-playable condition of the greens, our Open has been cancelled and the Des Flanagan will now be played in Ringcommon, we wish to thank them for hosting it . We will continue playing on Winter greens until further notice and we would like to thank all those members who support their club by playing in the weekly competition despite playing on winter greens.
All our major competitions have been rescheduled to commence mid July, when hopefully our main greens will be back in play.
The committee ask that members be patience and bear with us as our men are working very very hard to resolve the problem and we would like to thank them for all the work they have done so far.
